	Best Price! - New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo DS)   In a nutshell: It’s been over fifteen years since the last Super Mario Bros. but finally Mario is back in a proper 2D platforming adventure. Just because it’s old school though doesn’t mean it’s old hat... The lowdown: Considering the last Super Mario Bros. game is still the best selling video game of all time (17.28 million copies and counting) this has a lot to live up to, but it almost effortlessly captures the action and charm of the old games. The basics of the game are the same as always as you run and jump through mostly horizontally scrolling levels. New to the game are power-ups that turn Mario into a giant or make him really tiny, as well as one that gives him a Koopa shell on his back to attack enemies with. Although the gameplay is all in two dimensions the graphics are 3D, with all new moves such as the triple jump and wall jump added in as well. Most exciting moment: As well as the single player mode there’s also a wireless multiplayer mode where you get to battle a friend (as Luigi) across a whole bunch of specially designed levels. Since you ask: As Super Mario World on the SNES (since re-released as Super Mario Advance 2 on the GBA) was subtitled Super Mario Bros. 4 in Japan that name couldn’t be used for this new game, although that’s secretly whatever everyone’s calling it – behind Nintendo’s back. Cool Game!

At first i apsolutely loved the game me and my sis took turns playing the mini games then we thought lets start the proper game it was fun cause the first level was really easy! but then on the second level it started off fun cause you could get loads more coins but as soon as i took and accidental fall i had to start the whole GAME!! all over again this got frustrating but then i finally passed the second level then i got onto the third which was really fun where you had to leap on and off mushrooms but i was doing really well and passed and then on level four GAME OVER!! now i may be rubbish at games and i may not be but this game is extreamly frustrating so i would rate it 7+ but overall its fun and there are so many exciting games to choose from but yeah its hard!!!

Play this game - it's good!!!

This DS game is really good fun, and also it gets really difficult! You start off with one world that you play on, and you have to unlock the next stages and worlds by completing the stage/s you are on. You have to avoid some creatures completely, but for some creatures you can jump on them to kill them, or fire at them if you are the 'fire mario'.
You have lives, and when you have run out of lives then it's game over and all you have played/completed AND NOT SAVED will be gone. When you complete each world, it saves, as well as completeing each special castle and also buying 'mushroom houses'.
Well, have good fun and buy this game! It is really good fun and is a challange.............

Awesome!

Absolutely brilliant, this game lasts for ages and doesn't get repetitive. The single player mini games are great to play on your own or over wi-fi, and the Mario vs Luigi wi-fi game is very fun....without a doubt i would say to anyone BUY IT!

great fun

This is fantastic. I am a returner to gaming after a break since the original mario!! The images are much improved as are the added features. I dont think the skill level is too great for regular gamers - but for me is set just right to keep from frustration that would make me put it down. Multiplayer function and games good. I loved this.

good game but doesn't save??

i thought this game was really good. got onto world 3 then saved it and turned the ds off... turned back on to find the file saved was not longer there! this happened twice. I know it definitly saved because i loaded it back up whilst the console was still turned on, but as soon as i turned it off... it was gone.
